I remember coming up from florida couple years ago and the weather got right hot. the road which was a fresh looking real black stuff was getting hot. We saw 3 or 4 RV on the side with blown tires in a 2 hr time frame. Would have loved to have stopped to ask questions about tire maker, age, condition etc. THere are a million goodyear ST tires on the road and some go for years with no problems. but these folks take the trailer a couple hundred miles couple times a year or less so tires don't get the full deal like some that full timers use..
ST tires are good but in the end.
I think when tires started being made in china the quality control and quality of tires went down hence more tire issues.

T&P,
Well stated. If all the so called tire bomb issue really existed, we would see scores of Semi's, TTs, Motor Coaches, horse trailers and etc. scattered along the highway every weekend.
The fact is almost every tire company big or small has had isolated tire problems and recalls. However, what percentage of the total tire product volume is it, compared to recalls on ignition switches, air bags and other safety recalles.
