What is "Dry weight?"
Newby here. I searched. No. Really. I did. ;) But a search for "dry weight" didn't give me a definition. When the specs on TT list a dry weight, is that the weight as equipped from the fact...

We're looking to buy a TT with a dry weight of 4178 pounds, but there's a sticker on the door that lists a weight in the 4550 range.
The GVW is not gleaned -- it is measured on a scale.
If you meant to refer to the trailer's Gross Vehicle Weight Rating, that does not have to be gleaned either --
it is stated on the certification plate for an existing trailer or in the manufacturer's specs for the different models.
