What is the problem with Camping World?

So I've seen a lotta people bad mouth CW in another post I had but not any real specific reasons. Why should I not go there? They do leave a bad taste for me after that nearly 2k extra fees but why do you guys dislike them so?

    My experience with Camping World was superb. I hit a road hazard that took out my 25 ft. TT undercarriage.

    I suspect the reason for their promptness was because I initiated a series of phone conferences between CW, my insurance agent and myself.

    We laid out a time table plan for,
    * Repair estimates.
    * Acceptance of items to be fixed.
    * Time to complete repair, once parts arrived.

    I did follow ups calls to make confirm that everyone had done what they said they were going to do.

    The time from towing in to CW to me towing to back yard was 6 weeks including 2 1/2 weeks waiting for a new Lippert under carriage.

    In general, if you need it CW will have it but they definitely are not the cheapest.

    Nope, not all are corporate owned, corporate controlled maybe. Lots of Camping World locations which were previously Mom and Pop dealerships or smaller operations with a few locations still have the original owners involved behind the scenes no matter what was reported in the media or by Camping World. I would love to be able to read some of the agreements.
    Care to provide your source for this? The original owners may own the property but operation is CW from what I had read.

    from all the things I read on here I just dont go there. I,m lucky we have a mom pop shop 20 miles away ,camper care deerfield ohio.the owners actualy work there. there fair and honest. bud says he likes to sleep at night.

    I;m one who had a very bad experience with CW but I say go there and see for yourself. There's good and bad in any group of any kind. Just don't be too hopeful if you go to the Knoxville TN one.
