$2,000 in extra fees? I am already gone long before those fees are paid.
Yes indeed. A few years back we were just wrapping up the purchase of a new travel trailer at their store in Tampa. At the last minute they quietly added the "$795 dealer fee" to the bottom line. I just calmly said no. They tried the "it is mandatory, corporate won't let us write a deal without it" game. I then told them I understand, and the way we will be resolving this is that we will be lowering the purchase price by the same amount. They were not happy, and needed to pull the "huddle in the back office with the manager" game. They then decided that my way was better than no sale, so they took the deal. A half hour later we walked away for good, as the unit had crash damage on the front and back, including stress cracks in the front fiberglass cap, likely from smacking a street sign, or something similar. The sales manager was furious that I was so unreasonable as to refuse to purchase a new trailer with obvious damage. I laughed. Since then I will do business with them, in their store, if I really need a low cost item that I can't find easily, elsewhere. As for me buying or servicing an RV there? From all I've read, experienced and heard from past employees, no it will never happen. 1Longbow wrote:

Maybe someone should read Trumps complete statement, before commenting - jentrxmExplorerLemonis said that if you felt the white supremacist trash at Charlottesville were very fine people than you shouldn't shop at Camping World, but maybe that doesn't change some people's answer.
I am totally new to RVing and just bought a camper from a CW location and it has not gone smoothly at all. I do wish I had gone elsewhere.
But to their favor, I got angry and emailed Lemonis directly at 12:30 AM this past Sunday in the middle of the night in the middle of Memorial Day weekend. Lemonis personally responded to me within an hour and had people at both the national level and the dealership on the phone with me the next morning. - Nv_GuyExplorer IIII have never bought an RV from CW, but when we were looking, they were they only ones who made a follow up call when they found what we wanted. But we had already found and bought what we wanted.
In regard to parts, during my last visits to three different locations I noticed a lot of empty spaces and if there was something there, there didn't seem to be lot of it. For example, my buying 2 propane pigtails and 2 adapter fittings exhausted their supply. Only having minimal inventory makes me wonder about C/W.
My local RV dealer has a much deeper inventory, and their prices are better, so even if I had a C/W close, I doubt I would go there. - DownTheAvenueExplorerThe root problem with Camping World is the corporation does not value its customers; rather, considers them a resource to exploit as much money as possible without concern if they become loyal customers as they believe they can cultivate more.

In general, He essentially asked that I not spend my money there. I intend to honor that wish, forever.
Same here. Their unethical business practices and high prices were the original reasons but his request was the final nail in the coffin. - IAMICHABODExplorer IIMakes me want to shop more there,Check out Snopes to get the THE REAL TRUTH of what was said.
"those who agreed with President Trump’s response to the white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, should not shop at his stores"
Trump Calling them Fine people. - profdant139Explorer IIWell, maybe I am naive, but I for one appreciate their retail inventory. Yes, the prices are high. But when you really need that left-handed door latch for your screen door (and yes, there are lefts and rights), CW has it in stock.
And the sales staff often knows a lot more about the parts in question than I do.
I have never taken my trailer there for service, so I can't comment about that end of the business.
