Most often, I use the Pilot/Flying J RV Plus Card - The only limit is the monthly maximum of $2500.00.
Before the RV Plus Card, several years ago, I did run into the $75 to $150 limit. Once I went in and asked, "Why the limit?" and was told that my bank had set the limit. That made sense since the pump had different limits posted for different credit cards. I called my bank and asked. After a check, I was told that there was no limit on my card.
I made a point of going back to the same station. Again, I went in and asked, "Why the limit?". Again, I was told the the limit was set by my bank. I told the man that that was not true and, if he would like, I would get the bank on the phone. He told me there was no need, that the limit was the stations policy. "So, why the lie?" I asked. He just shrugged.
It's been a long time since I've seen a limit but, if I were told that my bank had set a limit on my fuel purchase, I wouldn't believe it until I heard if from the bank.
