On 'Global Economy'...just check what you are wearing right now...betcha most
if not all are made outside the USA
Ditto most of your kitchen stuff.
Ditto your TV/BlueRay/etc to the computer/smartphone/pad/etc you are viewing
this thread with
Ditto most anything in your home
That is what 'Global Economy' refers to
Amazon is a biggie. eBay is another biggie. There is one wholesale Internet
firm bigger than them both put together. That biggie is a Chinese firm called Alibaba
that Yahoo saved from bankruptcy years and years ago and why now that
they IPO'd (the largest ever in the WORLD)...Yahoo benefited greatly
If someone wishs to only purchase American Made...then they will have few belongs
in their home and clothes to wear
As for my TV and trucks...am a GM person (used to be a Ford person and Dodge guy)
and am NOT blindly loyal to any brand. My preference is foreign...as
Detroit lost me back in the 70's. If Nissan or Toyota or Honda made
a +8K GVWR 4x4 full sized SUV/Van...I'd sell my Sub and make the jump
On my 'have to have' list and on the top three is specification, performance
(braking is above 'go'), it sells in large enough volume to keep a
decent supply chain over the years.
Next is handling, which is embedded in 'specifications'
Next is that I can work on it (almost an oxymoron these days)
On my 'nice to have' list and at the bottom is 'ride quality'.
My opinion is to make up our lists for 'have to have' and 'nice to have'
and then gather the specifications
What is important to most (the herd)...most times is not what 'I like'...
