And why are we even discussing this here? WHO CARES. The OP's trailer is under-engineered and has a false GVWR. Its not about what the law says regarding weights right now, he cant even tow the darn thing!!!! The poor guy has been pulled thru the ringer by this trailer company and the dealer.
Apparently the OP cares as he is participating in the GVWR discussions.
I do agree the OP trailer is a mess and the dealer should go to bat for him on getting money back or a replacement unit to his liking. He currently is waiting on a proposal from the mfg.
