Always disconnect the harness that connects the truck to the camper, lest ye re-wire the camper!
Always double check that you have disconnected the trailer when moving the tuck with the camper lifted up, even if just a little bit to make an adjustment, lest ye replace a taillight on the camper.
Never let your wife spot your height when parking camper in a garage if it's a close fit, lest ye replace a roof vent. Difficulty: in a powerful thunderstorm, necessitating an emergency tarp deployment with lightning striking all around in 50 mph winds with driving rain and hail in the dark.
Also, make sure not to jackknife your trailer into the camper when backing up.
