Isn't it AMAZING how much water a foam mattress can hold?! I had that exact thing happen years ago..... Oye!!

Absolutely. I couldn't believe it. The foam mattress was soaked on top and throughout most of it but the bottom of it was completely dry. Took it outside, wrung it out and let it dry. No water damage to the rig. Lucked out on that one.
