what size awning do I need?

I just purchased a used 2004 Aerolite Cub 160.....it is missing the fabric on the awning. The total length of the awning hardware is 7'5" what size awning fabric do I order? I see some that are 8', an it says actual length is 7'3" is that correct? Any help would be much appreciated!!!

  • if you have the manufacturer's name and model number, along with the overall measurement, you might be able to figure this out. I'm with the others re having this done. There is a lot more to awning work than it would appear - springs, etc and you could have it just pop together with no problems or it could be a major headache. I vote with have it done.
  • I have been looking at this place.

I also don't have a good feeling trying to measure out what size to re-order. One of my awnings had a tab sewed in place about foot into the roll which had the exact part number. That was pretty neat. The only other numbers I would find in the provided manuals was the series number with XXX where the actual size was suppose to be...

One of my buddies ordered one of those sewing kits and fixes his own now. That is probably what I am going to do with my ripped out threads on my OFF-ROAD POPUP awning. Everything on this awning is good just the threads on the zip-up bag got eat up by the ultraviolet sun rays or dry rot...

  • I get scared when doing things my self such as awning repairs, Id take it down to a Camping world or similar place have them measure it and order it then you can install it if you want.
