3 kids here, not 2. We have a 21 foot hybrid and it works great for us. We've been using it for 5 years, and trips as long as 3 weeks.
The answer to this question has to do with your family and how well you and the kids all get along.
It also has something to do with the nature of the camping you prefer: Are you the sort that are most often outside, and only come inside when it's either raining or night, don't plan to be inside watching TV in the evenings, will generally cook outside (not always, but often)? If so, a smaller trailer can work well.
Or, are you the sort that generally prefer to keep in the trailer unless actively doing an outdoor activity, plan to have (and use) a TV and/or video game unit in the trailer (which will cause the kids to be inside more often than not), cook in the trailer, etc? In that case, you'll likely want a larger trailer.
