Regarding the comments made here about the Ram mirrors;
these guys were towing gooseneck flat bed trailers that certainly are not as high as most any rv being towed.
I mean, it is certainly possible that the dually flares on the Ram did hide more of these lower trailers when compared to say the Ford mirrors.
Having owned all three HD trucks, I do like the Ford mirrors the best. However, my Chevy was the 2003 model, and I think they changed the mirrors since that model year, so I don't know what the current versions performance is.
I haven't experienced what they stated about the Ram towing mirrors. My 5er is 39' 9" long and high profile. Mirrors are two piece, the bottom mirrow gives me a view of what is in the next lane plus all the way down the side of my 5er to where I can see the wheel well's of my 5er. I don't get what the testers are alluding too...I've not owned a Ford, but have owned 2 Chevy Dually's and didn't have the issue with it either. I have no blind spot and can monitor entire length of 5er from ground up the sides...Guess I'm not as smart as the testers.....All the so called "hates" against all three truck is purely subjective....What one things is ugly, looks ggood to someone else and on and on.....I go by real life experiences and what "I" personally like and dislike...I make up my own mind and live with the results, good or bad....it's part of life.
