What to do about a useless limited slip rear end?

My 2001 ¾ ton Dodge has a limited slip rear end and is about useless ever since I got in in 2005. It now has 77,000 miles on it and works great, except for traction and A/C. I get stuck pulling ...

My 2004 Ram with LS 4X2 CTD would get stuck all the time UNTIL I bought some better tires. Before you go dropping coin on rebuilding or replacing your rear end buy a set of mud and snow tires for the rear and see if that doesn't work.
