I can tell you that this won't happen in a 1995 camper. Not sure what your budget is but try to get something newer. Sounds like you know what you;re looking for in terms of utility and also investigating wear/tear. Only thing I can add is bring a flashlight and look into the backs of cabinets, under the bed, every nook and cranny for signs of wetness, mold or water staining. Most anything else is easily fixable.
The hunt for the perfect RV is part of the fun...like waiting 9 months for a baby to be born....LOL.... :)
