what truck should I buy?

Please take your time or you will loose thousands and end up purchasing the wrong tow vehicle.

1. Most important. Learn what the "true" towing capacity of any vehicle your looking to buy. Pin weight and so on.

2. I Highly recommend purchasing a vehicle from an auto broker or Triple AAA. You can get the same warranty as any dealer will offer and save thousands of dollars. Ask your credit union if they have a auto broker they work with. AAA will give you a price in minutes to compare against any dealer. For example: A few years ago my neighbor purchased a Chev Derimax Diesel 2500 top of the line for $46,000. If he would of gone to the local auto broker he could of got the exact same truck for $36,000 to $38,000. He was in a hurry and or just didn't want to listen to me.

3. Check and see if Dick Smith's Motors in Kellogg, Idaho is still saling trucks and cars. He once was the number one Dealer in the nation because they would sale approximately 120,000 vehicles per year at the lowest cost of any dealer in the nation. Basically gives you a price on line and you will know in a few minute what you will be saving.

Agreed you are in dually land. Either of the big 3 will o the job

By the time you add cargo, batteries, propane, water, etc, your pin weight will likely be more than 3,000#. My 2013 F350 SRW 4x4 diesel only has 3,425# payload capacity. By the time I add cargo, occupants, hitch and pin weight, it is not enough to haul your FW. Get a DRW truck and you should be good.

Depending on cab configuration you will be either right at or slightly over the maximum trailer weight for a SRW F-350 if you load the trailer to its maximum GVW. You may be able to theoretically tow this trailer with a SRW F-350, but I suspect you will be right up to or over limits for the rear axle and tires. As the other posters have said you are probably into DRW territory with this trailer.

OP, you could be asking your truck to CARRY 4000# or more by the time you figure occupants, fuel, hitch and other stuff in the truck.
That empty pin weight is just marketing nonsense. it will be MUCH higher than that by the time you add battery, propane, water, kitchen stuff, clothes, tools etc.
You are most certainly beyond most SRWs, a dually should be in your future.

Any diesel dually would be the best pick, believe me, CC's are pin heavy.
