What TV will handle a 7-8k GVWR TT ?

I will also reitterate PAYLOAD! Power has not been an issue for some time, but with the majority of people buying half tons for daily drivers and trips to Lowes, manufactures have been leaning torward ride quality, which reduces payload. Half ton payload is all over the place depending on the exact equipment package, and can easily be in the 1200-1300lb range. After loading the family that doesn't leave much for the trailer! You want a payload AT LEAST in the 1700lb range. A "max tow" package will usually get you there.
Ford with the F150 offers a "Heavy Duty Payload" package, that includes a better axle, better gears, springs, etc. They are kind of hard to find in the sea of normal F150s, and salesmen often don't know they exist. They have payloads from 2300lbs (SC 4x4) to 3100lbs (RC 4x2) They DO exist, and they are different than the "max tow" A "HD payload" package includes the "max tow", but NOT the other way around. There are 2 easy givaways, the GVWR will be 8200lbs, where all other F150s are below 8000lb, and it will have 7 lug wheels, all other F150 are 6. If you can find one, you REALLY want this package for towing!! It includes everything you would want.
