^^^I can attest to that...my 2013 Ram 1500 Laramie has a sticker payload of 1061lbs:(...that is less than my wife's minivan!! Needless to say I didnt look at that part of the equation when I bought it...I am now looking at making the costly trade in on a 1 ton Ram Diesel because of payload...and honestly, the Hemi mpg's are good when not towing, but are terrible with a trailer behind you. As noted earlier in the thread, make SURE of the payload capacity of the specific truck you are looking at before buying it
Wow a payload of 1061 ?!?!?! I think my Jeep Grand Cherokee has more then that lol ouch , i would be pissed off....
Yeah, it was an impulse buy kind of....use it as my DD and for towing atv's to west va to ride....then I started looking at travel trailers and quickly realized I was screwed (we want a bunkhouse model with multiple slides)...so....now going 1ton and 5er route.....I was so disgusted when I saw that payload sticker (when shopping for an RV) I wanted to dump it right then and there....
so to the OP - do not take the payload capacity ratings from the websites...look at the sticker on the door jam of the actual truck you are test driving..it will save you a headache like I have now:)
