Our “new to us” camper trailer didn’t come with a TV. I think something around 20”-24” would be plenty big enough to put up in the corner on the little TV shelf. As far as TV’s go….are there certain brands, models, or types that hold up better to the heat, cold, vibration, humidity that the travel trailers experience? Would I be better off getting a little mini projector and buying a small while movie screen to hang on the wall and just project stuff on that? Any info would be great!

Go to Walmart and find one that fits. Visios are good, usually. Be sure and view it from the sides, and especially from the bottom angle to see if the screen is visible from those angles. We have an old one, that can only be seen from almost straight on. Installed it in the bedroom, and had to tilt it almost 45 degrees to see it. Planning replacement soon.

Some of them with a "brick" power supply are actually 12v, and you can make your own wire and use it even when you're not plugged into shore power.

I bought a 32" Insignia ( from Best Buy or maybe it was wally world ) for the trailer, and works well. We get so used to big, HD in our homes, then going into a trailer and looking at a little old 19" is quite a shock. I paired it with "dish tailgater for my RV", which is month to month. Works well for me while on the road.

TV would be the cheaper choice.Like others have said look at Walmart, Best Buy or online for a TV to fit the space.

We also use tailgater. We use a 13 inch tv inside and a 32 inch outside when there is a football game and the whole campground comes to watch. Keep in mind, you pay nothing extra for Dish viewing on the road. All u have to do is make sure that the receiver can be used with the tv at home and the tailgater on the road.

Think carefully, how important is TV watching to you. It is not important to either of us so we have something smaller. If you really are interested get something as large as will fit n the space for it.
We mostly watch news and talk shows so the picture does not really matter.
We have two TVs if we are taking grandchildren as they have one in the bunkroom. It stays at home if we are alone.

Consider this, if you buy one get a smart TV with wireless wifi. Many of the sites we go to have free Wifi and if you have hulu, amazon prime HBO go or the like then you can stream movies to the set. This is an advantage that is relatively cheap. I bought a samsung 32" smart TV from best buy for $300.About $50 over a non smart TV. Nice picture and great features. It replaced the heavier 24" Sansui that came with the camper. Also make sure it has a wide viewing angle as seating in a camper is less than perfect for watching TV

We had a 19 inch insignia for our old one. Worked great for five years and still does in ds's room. New one came with a 32 inch i think.

Any size flat screen you feel comfortable with. I use a swivel arm so it can be viewed from every angle. Like others have said I would go for one with a 12 volt supply so you can use your house batteries when boondocking.

I bought a 27" hisense tv for my trailer / daughters bedroom when we arent camping. It was an open box item i got for a pretty good deal at 100$

Been using it in the trailer off and on for a few months now. One of these days ill get around to making a bumper swing mount for it since most of the time im sitting outside under the awning. Come football season it would be pretty nice to have

We have 2 LED Vizios. 48 for the living room , 19 for the bedroom. I have 2 TV mounts but I take both TVs down each time. JIC I went with new LED's because they are soooo much lighter then the older flatscreens.

we use an older flatscreen cheapie that got retired from the kitchen
so we're considering a new one too.

we always transported ours flat on the bed rather than on a swivel mount, the new one will get a swivel wall mount, i'll have reinforce a cabinet end to take the weight

our existing tv is also 12 volt with "wall wart" adaptor, I run it off the trailer 12v instead

Bought a Vizio for my trailer and it didn't last a year with very little usage, and despite being wrapped in a blanket and stored in a drawer during travel.

Bought some small off-brand for $99 and it has been fine for a couple seasons now, although the viewing angle on it kinda sucks.

Got a Samsung from Walmart hanging on the wall in the bedroom of our trailer. Love it for the price....took down the Haier that was up and use it in the other end of the trailer.

just picked up a 22 inch LG 1080P TV at costco (canada) and tested it tonight. will be perfect for our small travel trailer.

light and only consumes 33 watts so will run fine on our small inverter
