The guys with the heavy 5'ers say it's the only way to go. Nice thing is a used HDT with lots of life left goes for a lot less than any 3500 pickup big enough to tow this.
I moved up to an MDT a few years ago and am sorry I didn't do it sooner. Towing with the MDT really eased my mind...no more white knuckles on hills.
Wait...wait! Are you advocating an MDT or HDT? I'm confused!
