Everyone is different and we don't have information about how often you tow and how far you go. Me personally, I go on a weekend trip 3 times a year that's 500 miles one way and over 3 mountain passes up to 7,500 feet. My first toy hauler and pickup, I got a new pickup within a few months of getting the toy hauler because the pickup struggled. With my use, I want plenty of cushion. My next TV will be a 1 ton, even with my 21 foot 5,800 pound toy hauler.
Your scenario. Are you going to keep the trailer for a lot of years and you won't upgrade? If that's the case, and you travel mostly short distances, I would find a different shop that specializes in hitches and have them manufacture something. If you go longer distances and over mountain passes, I'd just upgrade your TV now and get it over with rather than messing around with a hitch. Same thing if you think you might get a bigger trailer soon, I'd just upgrade now
One thing I wouldn't do, is tow anymore on your current hitch. I'm one to push limits on safety more than some others on here (I've been over GVW many times). However, your hitch could look fine right now, but one bump could take it off. That's not something I would risk even if you have in the past.
Good luck in what you decide.
