When we went from a popup to a lightweight TT last fall we never even considered keeping the 2014 Ridgeline. Even though the TT is only 5500 max, we didn't even check weight and towing capacity. It owed our 3000 lb popup fairly easily, but I didn't even want to try it with another ton added on. As I see it, even if the new TT was within limits, the wind resistance from the "sail" would put us in an uncomfortable position.
I don't really understand why people will argue and try to justify towing at or even beyond their vehicle's limits, despite endless warnings. :h
