This is why I don't like car dealers. And the chance they special ordered and received the door seal is about zero, but on the other hand, you put down a deposit which is your "Ernest money" and technically they could/should keep the $500.
Yes they're probably jiving you, but otoh, you're getting $375 of your deposit back.
