I took mine to a dealer, got a trade-in quote, took the deal and never looked back. (Switched brands, of course)
I was in the exact same situation, except mine left my family stranded on five vacations over five years, not to mention the non-vacation breakdowns. (20 k estimated in repairs over 9 years)
(Unfortunately, as I have posted before, the old truck blew up on the new owner 30 miles after his purchase)
I now have absolute piece of mind. Although I went to the gas motor, it will do what I need it to do. I can't wait for the summer vacation season to begin!
