cleaned up the old fridge vent...re-installed. Lots and lots of Butyl and Dicor. If this thing leaks I will be a monkeys uncle. - Blind_BobExplorerThe serial number is stamped on the door sill of mine and that will lead you to the year model.
- AmerigoHaulerExplorerHi,
I found my M/N and the #72 stamped in the threshold of the entry door. This matched the VIN sticker on the outside that gave a date of manufacture of 1972.

Hi all,
You have one that is between a 1975 to a 1978 with the rear fiberglass close-out around the snap n nap.
Amerigo stopped making our version in 1978... Came back in 1991/93 timeframe and that was it.
If you have the original fire extinguisher, check the date on it....give you an idea of the time frame.
I'll be winterizing mine tomorrow....still love it.
I'll try to check in more...been very busy at work.
Good luck!

no fire extinguisher. Found 1972 on the stove, but I know it can't be a 1972. Must have been when the stove was manufactured. It stumps me. My unit has "sticker" decals of amerigo on the sides and all the others I have seen have plastic. Your 1976 has nice drawer and cabinet doors. Mine has nasty "particle" board. - 76AMERIGOExplorerHi all,

Keeping the stove. I don't anyone EVER used the oven. - 1971amerigoExplorerI used the fiberglass tub wall adhesive.
it comes in a tube available at lowes or Home Depot.
That is also were I got the fiberglass sheets - Wagonqueen_TrucExploreralso what kind of ceilings (material) did you use? Sorry to be a copy cat.
- Wagonqueen_TrucExplorerAwesome. Now I can piece together who owns which rig. I think I read your posting about how to fix up the "plastic" foldable walls in the snap & nap. The hubby wants to know what kind of adhesive you used to glue on the new plastic to those snap & nap foldable walls?

If you look at Dave's 76 Amerigo the snap & nap is a 1 piece fiberglass unit.
You have the newer style heater.
I would guess the year of your camper 73-75
keep sending the pics

thanks so much for the info. Dave's is cool indeed. It was actually the one that I first saw on the internet and gave me inspiration. I have also been following those owners who are in "building mode", but I wanna see some interiors completed. I have been following all the amerigo owners rigs these last few weeks via this site and I can't get enough. I have no patience I suppose...but my husband has the patience of a saint.
