What's the advantage of the frame design on our new TT?

Most larger TT's are built this way now. It's not cheaper or better\worse. The clearance is needed to get over the wheel wells for slide outs and larger tires for weight purposes. Welding something correctly is not rocket science. Mine is made this way and it's more than 10 years old.
