That's what happens when someone loads their TT to max weight rating and hits a dip in the road. That can double the weight for an instant. Same goes for tires.
The truck is a Ram 3500 dually. It does not need a weight distribution hitch and since the truck has so little 'give' in the springs/suspension the trailer's 'A' frame takes the brunt. Going through dips, dirt roads with ruts, backing up driveways that require a steep angle from the street will all stress out the 'A' frame on a trailer with WD still hooked up.
