Yup, trailer best option! Just the bags of stuff, would fill the cab and truck camper. If you plan to camp (sleep-in/eat-in) with the TC, you'll have no where to put the stuff.
A lt wt trailer will not add a lot of tongue wt to your trucks rear axle, but anything pushing from behind is going to strain your already overloaded truck brakes. A trailer with brakes would be a plus. An aluminum trailer, even mine pictured, is not heavy, and will not require a WDH. Tongue wt on mine is less than 300 lbs empty, but it has a 3,800 lb ccc. However, if looking for a bargain trailer, aluminum framed/sided trailers are not cheap.
