I was cargo-trailer shopping over a year ago and they don't make them in 8 foot width for some reasons.
You can either get 7-footer with wheels sticking out, or wide body.
I was particularly seeking 8 footer for potential of taking it to Mexico, but finally had to buy wide body- having car hauling in mind and yes, 16-footer V-nose fits passenger cars just fine. .
You will see 7 footer behind TC with proper mirrors.
Seeing trailer is not crucial IMHO.
I had flat tire on my wide body and driving on wet freeway I did not see any problem till fellow driver flagged me. By the time I pulled over, there was no more tire on the rim, so I had to drive like that for some time.
For bigger trailer use, I sure would spend money on TPMS.
