Not really. 19.5's can't be lowered enough to really help, around 70 PSI on most and they don't expand like regular tires to get you more traction.
It's a tough situation, not trying to scare you, just tell you MY experience in a 2002 SD. I have heard people on hear like them, maybe they can chime in. I had a 9'10" TC that weighed about 4200-4400 wet. I did not feel safe in MY situation, wish I got a dually and kept the TC. Got a TT and then a DRW. Figure no matter what I do now and in the future, i'm good in most situations now.
