Glad to see some agreement on the quality of this engine.
I really need to give a tip of the cap to Local 598 Flint , MI.
I didn't really mess with OEM... no chips, no tuners, no exhaust
manipulations... I did pull the bump stops when I went with
air bags, added some aftermarket side steps, and removed the
factory stickering (something like Z 78 or such...).
A plain white truck.
Unlike some ...I am not an independently wealthy land-baron...so my
cost cutters were cloth instead of leather...I did spring for the
powered towing mirrors... passengers side motor has become anemic,
so I have to give it an assist to extend/retract. I could use some
new headlamps as I am unable to garage the truck and Az. sun is not
headlamp friendly.
All in all ..a good ride...looking forward to 10 more years.
