You should learn to embrace and celebrate your inner redneck! It’s there, you know it is. :W
I love ugly RV’s of all kinds. The uglier the better. They’re like train wrecks, fun to watch, although I don’t necessarily want to be in one. :P
Hideous is beautiful!
This obviously isn’t a truck camper, but I have a personal connection to it. It’s the fuselage of an H-3 “Jolly Green” helicopter mounted on a school bus chassis. I ran across it several years back on a website when it was undergoing its “transformation”. It hadn’t been repainted to how it looks now, but in a couple of the pictures I could see it’s tail number clearly. Turns out it’s one I worked on forty years ago when it was still a helicopter. Small world, and it’s definitely ugly.

That last one.... wow! Must have held a lot of beer for that monstrosity!
Poor F350 looks like it's bending the frame. The body lines to the box don't line up.
I saw the last on April 2020 at Coquia Beach on Anna Maria Island, FL. It was so grotesque I didn't even want to take a picture of it. - That last one.... wow! Must have held a lot of beer for that monstrosity!

Pictures of this Frankencamper used to show up on here from time to time. It seemed to grow and change in some way each year. The pictures were always taken in either FL or MN. Must have been a snowbird. I could tell from its earliest pictures that the camper started out as a Lance 1121, just like mine. It’s uh….had a few mods :W

At Burning Man.
Mutant Vehicles like that only cruise at 5 MPH on flat level desert. It’s got no COG or payload worries.
You should see mine!
Ok I will bite, show us your mutant vehicle! - Kayteg1Explorer II

When I don't remember where I saved the above picture from, this is my actual picture form Bolivar in Texas. I did not take the picture of other vehcicles, but they did have something pretty similiar there.
Sounds like burningman participants never go to Texas? NRALIFR wrote:
Oh well, I’ve always felt that conformity and consensus we’re overrated. :P
