I see no problem with a kitchen being designed by a woman. Actually, women have pretty good ideas there. What I do have problems with are kitchen's designed by left-handed people! I'm right handed, my wife is left-handed. When we re-did our kitchen, she insisted certain things were in certain places. At that the time, I thought, no biggie!
Then when the dishes and pots and pans and dish strainer returned, and everything is no ... just ... backwards for me! I'm kicking myself. We share kitchen duty, and when camping I do almost all the cookin'. We use electric skilletes and griddles outside. I set them up right handed. She sets up dish washing left handed... what can I say! We still love each other after 31 years!

Actually she's right!! Since one side of the brain controls the opposite side of the body only left handed people are in their right mind!! :B I'm right handed too.
