While I do enjoy a quality machine (any type), it's also hard to justify spending $30K for a trailer that you use 6 times a year for maybe 4-6 years before you trade.
I would be curious to see how much campsites are compared to the US. Private sites here are $60 on average per night. More for nicer ones and less for state sites if you can get one. If they were closer to $20-30/night for private, I could justify (in my mind) an extra cost on the trailer.
The other factor is that other parts of the world don't need 30' trailers with multiple slides. A 30'+ trailer with good quality materials and furniture would weight 10K lbs, making it impossible to tow without an HD truck. I feel maybe US makers put less thought into non-slide units, making them more usable since they can just add a slide to open the space up instead.
With all that being said, my next trailer I will be looking for a step up in quality. I chose my Cruiser Radiance because I felt it was the best quality for the value ($20K), and feel it is a great unit. But, I would like to see what $25-30K will buy me in a couple years once the kids are done camping and it's just me and mom.
