WHEN BUYING A USED TRUCK CAMPER........

What kind of "official" paper work should come with a used truck camper. A title or registration, some kind of transfer of ownership? The people I'm buying from say they don't have any paper work on it. They got it new. They are very nice people, but I can't figure out what says I own it, after I buy it. Would a simple bill of sale suffice?
  • Truck campers are not usually considered as "vehicles" and thus have not title. It is just a big box that you haul around in a truck. A bill of sale is all you need to prove ownership. I would insist upon a notarized bill of sale.
  • Alot of states do not register or license TCs, so there will be no title. I bought new in Pa. and got only a bill of sale from the dealer.
