Ages ago I noticed a neighbor hauling home large loads of cinder blocks for the foundation of the garage he was building. He had an old State DOT surplus 1/2 ton truck. With the back end full of cinder blocks, it was riding nice and level.
Me being me, I had to wonder over and check things out. What he was doing before loading the blocks was putting three pieces of 2X6 between the top of the axle and the frame. Worked like a champ.
