People who cannot / don't want to pay at the pump have to go inside and pay. If I were such a person, and needed to purchase snacks or go to the restroom, I wouldn't make two trips into the store - I'd do all that and pay for everything on my way out. It's a matter of cutting some slack or giving the benefit of the doubt.
No need to be aggravated while pulling thousands of lbs down the road and less stress allows you to live longer. IMO of course... :P
HOGWASH.
I don't think anyone on here is talking about grabbing a cup of joe and a donut. We are talking about people who go "shopping" while others are waiting.
Just yesterday, on the PA Turnpike, I sat behind a car at the ONLY diesel pump I could use for my left-sided tank. The car's owner came out with an Arby's bag. Yes, he was buying lunch while myself and one other pickup sat waiting our turn. YES HE SAW US WAITING....but that didn't stop him from sitting there eating french fries until his wife came out with the rugrat.
Mom tinkered in the back seat, got the kid settled, made a trip to the trunk for a juice box.....finally sat her @$$ into the passenger seat.
Wait for it...seat belt going on...$#!t, now he decides to get a water from the trunk. Apperantly she didn't think to get him something while she was there.
At this point the pickup in front of me leaned out the window. Didn't hear what was said, but that car went and found a PARKING spot.
FUEL island is for fueling....PARKING spots are for parking.
If you are grabbing a slim jim and a dew....good for you.
However, if you are wandering the store, trying to decide on Pringles or combos, yelling at the kids to get just "ONE", ordering a sandwich, etc...while others are waiting for fuel....YOU ARE WRONG.
