It's been a nightmare getting service done on my Ram 2500/Arctic Fox.
A while back someone broke the transmission/clutch when putting a new clutch in. Now I have to double clutch it when cold to shift. Barely shifts at all.
No one will put in a rear window. I have the window but they refuse to touch it.
I just drove all over town to several tire shops and no one will put tir s on my truck, align them and balance them. I asked to get the alignment done with the TC on, but showed up with it off to make mounting and balancing easy. One place didn't want to ordery load range H tires, the other didn't want to do the alignment with TC. My perfectly good tires are destroyed on the edges because the alignment was done without the load last time.
Can't find anyone to look at the transmission/clutch mess the other shop made. Only option I'm hearing is dump the transmission and buy a new one.
And I need an oil change. I wonder if anyone will want to do that.
So the question is... Where do you get your vehicles serviced?
I don't understand why no one can do these simple things.
You should never just be at the mercy of whoever is available to do the work. Even the most recommended company by way of word of mouth, in the end, turned out to be a place I will never go back to. I have found that the novice like myself had to repair two items done by them thus far. A third item was a real hasher they sent my trans to for rebuild. Get this..... I went there because they had a great reputation on Transmissions and then come to find out they sent it to a shop that has the worse reputation in our area. Just be careful out there, try finding the local word of mouth about a place at least.
