I store my 2k Ryobi generator inside the front bedroom in the hamper cubby. I've had ZERO fuel odor inside. My generator does use a fuel-cut to turn it off however. I did get a few drops underneath after filling the oil. I used to place a paper bag underneath to catch drips, but haven't seen a drop since the first weekend so I don't bother anymore.
