I like the idea of hooking up to shore power and see if you can't hear the fan running. If there is a vent below the fridge it may be behind that. The fan has to pull in fresh air from somewhere...
This unit also has an optional add-on feature called a TCMS which will turn this into a smart-mode charger unit. You would see some good benefits having this option if you don't already have it.
Google says "The Charge Wizard is a microprocessor-controlled system that constantly monitors the battery voltage and use to ensure a rapid; yet, safe, recharge. The Charge Wizard can select one of three charging voltages and one of four operating modes depending on the condition and use of the battery."
BestConverters would be a good place to purchase the TCMS add-on microprocessor if you don't already have one...
