G&N Auto Salvage in El Paso has a long block diesel for $4,000. Mileage is not noted on Car-Parts.com.
There's a salvage yard in Grand Prairie that has some.
Used engines run from $4000-$5500 depending on mileage. If you're willing to drive a distance, they're available used. I'd hate to see what they want for a factory rebuilt Cummins. They're pretty ridiculously priced.
A good diesel mechanic could have rebuilt your engine if the rod wasn't sticking through the block.
Good luck to you on this one.
Thanks Bamaman,
Appreciate you looking that up however I am going with a long block from CPP. Yeah I would have had these guys rebuild had not been a hole in the block, here at Hammer Performance in Sunland Park, NM they have been straight up with me and I trust them and they came highly recommended by a co worker.
