Well despite all of the discussion of the 6.7 on here I have the 5.9 it is a boat anchor now talking to the owner of the shop it will probably be 5500 for the engine since mine is not good for a core and then 1500 in labor and anything else I may need turbo, injectors etc.. once they are inspected. We will see. No I never tried to flush the engine with any cleaner. I did use a royal purple fuel additive is all and have never had any issues with that.
Sounds like a very good reason to start fresh with a 2015
Well I fail to see the math on that one $7,000 to $8,000 for a good solid rebuild, compaired to $40,000 to $60,000 for a new 2015. If the body is in good shape the rebuild makes sence.
The long block is just the beginning of the money you need to spend.been there done that once and never again on a 8 + yr old tuck.nows the time to rod radiator or replace, clutch or tongue converter, maybe even a starter.it just keeps adding up and the value of the truck doesn't change.never love nothing that won't love you back especially a vehicle.
Well not sure about the value changing!
Cummins/Ram 5.9 are very sought after, the Value of mine has only gone up since buying. can't say that for a new one!
x2 ... I thought I paid up for my clean one owner 5.9 I bought a year ago, but it has already gone up in value.
