If you have high idle time your oil changes should be done according to the built in hour meter (150 hours) not the mileage. To obtain maximum engine heat #1 use the supplied winter front, #2 idle the engine up by the stated method cruise on-set-accel and it should go up to 1500 rpm. Turn heater to vent/floor-recirculate and fan speed to #2 max. This will keep the cab warm, dry the floor and recycle warm air through the heater core. When driving you must turn it back to fresh air to stop the windows from fogging. #1 reason diesels have no heat is operators turn heater to full on temp and fan speed before the engine completely warms up to facilitate their comfort and clear windows from a cold hunk of cast iron?????
