Since buying a travel trailer last year one of the items that has come up is where to store the hitch and the sway bars?I generally just store it on the garage floor at home but on the road it poses a quandry for me. I know others who just store it in the storage areas (if you have much!) but those hitches are really heavy and I have always been concerned about the massive weight of it laying on the wood or OSB flooring in the storage area as it applies to impacting all that weight in one area knowing that it will weaken or dent the flooring over time.I have recently saw this product advertised:http://ezstorhitch.com/Anyone have any reviews of it?One of my concerns about it is if it will actually fit on the A frame between the propane tanks, sway controls on frame and batteries.Thanks for any input!

When I remove my hitch head assembly from the receiver, I reattach it to the trailer tongue, swing it around and cover it with a large plastic bag secured with a bungee cord. The bars, I store in the storage compartment in a piece of vinyl fence post with a cap glued on one end.

We put everything in a army surplus water proof bag and put behind the battery on the front of the hitch. It is out of sight, not far to move the heavy thing, and covered.

If in one spot for only a few days, we leave it on the truck. The bars go in the secure storage in the truck bed.

Hitch goes on in the spring and comes out in the fall. Bars are kept in a bag in the back of the pickup.

I keep everything in my pass-through. No .... the weigh of the hitch has never hurt the floor ... in 3 different travel trailers! When the hitch is sitting in the pass through, it quite obvious the trailer is not bouncing down the road. Weight does not hurt the floor. After all, YOU stand on that same floor and it holds your weight, right? And YOU weigh a lot more than that hitch.Just put it in one of the outside storage areas. Heavy, yes. But you'll figure out how to handle it! You will!

I keep everything but the hitch in my storage compartment. I put the hitch lock back on the hitch and set it by the tongue when camping.

After removing the receiver from the truck I put the ball back in the trailer coupler and turn it around. The bars go across the hitch in front of the propane tanks. Total cost $0 and I don not cover any of it.

During camping season I never remove the hitch from my P/Up. I put the bars in storage bin. During the winter I put the hitch on my garage floor. Works for me and I am nearly 80
