I've been to Colorado many times over the years and every time I drive along Hwy 50 past the The Blue Mesa Reservoir I'm so taken by the beauty of the area that that would be my pick as to where I'd really like to camp! :B

Had a great uncle who lived on Whidbey Island (Mom's from Port Angeles, WA), visited when I was young, remember the hummingbirds, heading to the beach at low tide to get clams, before I appreciated the clams. well for me it is simple ANYPLACE I have never been before! I want to see it all!

I want a big camppsite with lots of trees and shrubs surrounding it so you cannot see your neighbors.
Having deer and elk walk thru once in a while is great too.
Do not need the skunks walking thru tho. But the ones that have walked thru have just walked and not stopped to perfune our site.
Had wild horses stop to drink at the river at the end of the lot was nice.

Our big trip next year is either going to be California, Oregon, and Washington with Yosemite and Yellowstone thrown in, or up to New England and Nova Scotia area with Niagara Falls and the Green Mountains and Celtic music.
The Dakotas, Mount Rushmore, the Great Lakes and Chicago is another desire.
