Which 4 Season camper???

My husband and I are looking to purchase a different camper. We have been looking at an Arctic Fox and are wondering if there are other options out there for comparable insulation and quality.

Thank you!
  • Assuming this being in the trailer forum you are looking for a trailer, check out Outdoor RV (they don't make slide in campers).
  • Generally, a 4 season trailer will end up being a heavier TT to tow. What do you intend to tow with?

Bigfoot has a good reputation as well. They are non slide campers though. Probably best for keeping their resale value though.

The OP posted in trailer section, so I have to assume by camper he is actually referring to a travel trailer?

Bigfoot is a great option, they make a beautiful trailer...

  • Is it four seasons or full time?
The RV Consumer Group has some strict guidelines for an RV for full timing including the make/quality of appliances which an RV for four seasons does not have to meet.
AF gets high marks on this Forum but be sure you establish criteria before looking for an RV.

  • I agree with donn0128. Those that are proud of their insulation publish R Values, but not much can be done with thin walls.

I like AF as much as any and more than most.
  • Depending on size, you will be hard pressed to beat AF. But, no matter how well built they are, 4 season is a subjective term. 4 seasons in Florida, or 4 seasons in Chicago land? Makes a huge difference. Will a Fox keep you warm in FL winters with occasional freezing temps, yes. Will it keep you warm in the Dakoda oil fields at -20 probably not. With only 2X2 side walls there is only so much insulation a mfg can squeze in.
