If you own a German SUV, wiring in a Prodigy P2 or a P3 is expensive, and requires you to build a special electrical harness out of VW parts, with expensive labor to find where it plugs in, plus drilling mounting holes in your dash parts.
A far better and more elegant solution is to look into the Tekonsha Prodigy RF brake controller. Once paired on your trailer, it is plug and play... and you can take it to your next vehicle, and not leave unsightly holes in your dash panels, it fits in the power outlet, lighter outlet.
It's what I use on my 2012 VW Touareg Sport TDI.
