Which brand & model of walkie talkies for my "spotter?"

Even though DW is what I call "the Hitch Ball Wizard" (an amazing spotter), there are times (in the darkness, especially) that I can't see her hand signals while backing up. And I can't hear her over...

I have motorolas from costco. Work great. The ones I have use a big rotary knob on top for power and volume. I have other motorolas with push buttons on the front for volume. The big rotary knob is sure a lot easier to adjust.
