Rockhillmanor, you must be a much better backer-upper than I am, since you don't need a spotter! I am not so competent -- even after nine seasons of camping with lots of backing up, I always need a spotter, even though I have a small trailer and big mirrors. So far, no accidents, knock on wood.
Fortunately, DW has evolved a system of very clear hand signals -- no yelling, no drama. She is very skillful, so usually, I have no problem. But there are times where I just can't see her clearly -- darkness, heavy rain, bad angles so the mirrors don't work, lots of vegetation, etc. That is why I want walkie talkies, and I have gotten some great tips from everyone!
