Which brand & model of walkie talkies for my "spotter?"

Juan, that's brilliant (no pun intended) -- marshalling wands! Very cool, too. Have you evolved a signalling system for them -- come back, back slow, left, right, stop? Thanks. This may eliminate the need for walkie talkies, assuming we can figure out how to use the wands.
