Length and weight of those isn't a problem as the trailer axles are set pretty far back so as to avoid any or little sway.
OP is getting 5 MPG-6MPG, 5 gallons would give them 25-30 miles more range at best.
I am thinking they were looking and expecting a range of 350 miles to 400 miles (around 11 MPG) and they are getting 180-216 miles..
They would have to carry 80 gallons of fuel total or about 6 five gallon cans of gas..
They just found out the hard way that economy is not gonna happen with their combination and the only way to fix that is go lower profile and lighter weight.
